Role playing can be extremely fun and a fantastic way to put the spark back into your sex life. You don’t have to (necessarily) purchase fancy costumes or plan an elaborate night out, there’s plenty of role playing that can be done in your home and you won’t believe how exciting it can be. So even if you feel doubtful or embarrassed about the idea of pretending to be someone you’re not, set your doubts aside and just have fun with it. Here are a few scenarios you can try to get the ball rolling.
- “It’s my first time” – In this scenario one of you gets to play the inexperienced virgin and the other gets to “deflower” the newbie. This can be loads of fun played either way, with you being the experienced one or you allowing your partner to take the reigns and teach you how to please a woman. You don’t need to dress up for this role play and it can be done spontaneously at home on any given night.
- “Do you come here often?” – On your next date night plan a night of role playing to go along with it. Instead of going to your favorite bar together, plan to meet there so you can start your scene from the very beginning. When you see your partner from across the room, don’t go to her right away, but begin making eye contact like you would have back in the day when you picked up women in a bar. When you do approach her, offer to buy her a drink and treat it as if it was the first time you ever met, but make the conversation naughtier. This scenario can be fun and leave you both giggling at the bar to your own inside joke, but no one else will be the wiser that you didn’t just pick up the woman of your dreams and then take her straight home. Make sure to keep the role play up when you get her back to “your place.”
- Teacher and student – Again, with this role play you and your partner can decide who wants to be the teacher and who wants to be the student. Whichever you decide, the student has been misbehaving in class and needs to stay after school for one-on-one detention. The “punishments” can be whatever your heart desires. Getting dressed up with this one can be really fun and add an extra sexy element to the scenario.
- The photographer and the model – This is an exciting role play that toys with our interest in voyeurism/exhibitionism. Costumes or sexy little outfits can be especially fun with this one. Before starting you can decide what you plan to do with the photographic evidence after (delete or save in a VERY safe place?). The scenario options are endless with this one. Your partner could be taking sexy photos for her husband and wants you, the photographer, to give her direction. Or it could be a sexy photo shoot with a lingerie model that goes too far. Use your imagination!
- House worker and employer – You have several options with this role play. You can play the sexy handyman or poolboy and your partner the bored housewife. Or she can play the maid or gardener and you can play the bored, frisky employer.
Remember role playing is all for fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously, but you should always go with the scenario that would be fun for both of you. Chat about it beforehand and pick something that you both agree on. Laugh and have fun, but try not to break character. You might feel silly at first, but you’ll also start to get really turned on by the alternative characters you’re both playing in no time.
Often role playing involves one person taking on the more powerful role and the other the more passive role. Both ways can be really sexy and I suggest trying them both, but there might be one that attracts you and your partner more than the other. You’ll be surprised at how thrilling it can be to pretend to be someone else for just a night.
