This is a composite of a letter I receive constantly, and I am answering it publicly because the man who sends it is always convinced he has failed at something.
“I finally got her there. She was thrilled. And I know how that sounds, but I was quietly deflated, because what actually happened was a small amount of fluid and that was it. Nothing like what I was expecting. Did I do something wrong at the last moment, or is she just not one of the women who can?”
You did nothing wrong at the last moment. Almost nothing that determines volume happens at the last moment. Here is what is actually going on, in the order it matters.
First: You Were Watching Two Different Events and Grading Only One
There are two distinct things happening under the same heading, and confusing them is the source of most of the disappointment in this category.
Female ejaculation proper is a small volume of thick, whitish fluid from the Skene’s glands, which sit alongside the urethra and are structurally analogous to the prostate. It contains prostate-specific antigen. It is a teaspoon or two. That is not a reduced version of the big event. That is the event, complete, functioning exactly as designed.
Squirting is the other thing. Larger volume, thinner, clear. Ultrasound work published in 2015 tracked the bladder before, during and after and found it filling across the arousal phase and emptying at the moment of release, which tells you where the volume comes from.
So what your letter is actually asking is not how to fix her. It is how to produce the second event alongside the first. Those have different mechanics, and the rest of this reply is about the second one.
Second: The Volume Has to Arrive Before It Can Leave
This is the least romantic paragraph I will ever write and it is the one that changes the most.
If the fluid is substantially bladder-origin, then the amount available is a function of how much has accumulated by the time you get there. Which puts two unglamorous variables at the top of the list.
Hydration. She is, statistically, mildly dehydrated, as is everyone. There is nothing to expel that was never taken on.
And time. The bladder fills across the arousal phase, not before it. Which means the near-universal advice to send her to the bathroom first is half-right and half-expensive. It removes the anxiety, which is genuinely worth doing. It also starts the tank at zero. If you then spend six minutes on her and expect a flood, you have given the accumulation no time to happen.
Empty first if it settles her, then build for considerably longer than feels necessary. The build is not foreplay in this context. It is filling.
Third: The Sponge Has to Be Engorged, Which Takes Minutes
The urethral sponge is the tissue that has to be worked, and like every other erectile structure in the human body it has to fill with blood before it does anything interesting. It sits an inch or two inside, along the front wall.
Unengorged, it is difficult to locate and produces very little. Engorged, it is unmistakable, noticeably ridged, and considerably larger than it was ten minutes earlier.
Here is where men lose it. The technique everyone has seen described is a rapid come-hither curling motion, and men deploy it hard, for about ninety seconds, and conclude that it does not work.
What the tissue responds to is sustained pressure, not rhythm. Firm, flat, held, with your fingers essentially still and the movement coming from your forearm rather than your knuckles. Boring to watch. It is the only thing that reliably works, and it needs several minutes rather than one.

Fourth: The Hold-Back
Now the part that produces the difference between a trickle and the thing you were expecting.
Take her to the edge and stop short. Not stopping entirely, just easing off enough that the release does not fire. Wait. Build again. Three or four cycles.
Each cycle does two things at once. The sponge engorges further, because it has had more time under pressure. And the accumulation continues, because nothing has been expelled yet.
This is the hold-back, and it is the single largest lever on volume that you have. A woman taken straight through on the first pass produces what was available on the first pass. A woman taken to the edge four times produces what has been accruing across all four.
It also requires you to override a strong instinct, which is to press harder the moment you feel her getting close. Pressing harder at that point is how you convert a large event into a small one.
Fifth: Your Hand Creates the Pressure. Her Muscles Do the Expelling.
Worth being clear about the division of labour, because most men assume the whole thing is done by the hand.
It is not. The expulsion itself is muscular and it is hers. Which means the force of it depends on whether she is bearing down or clenching at the critical moment, and her instinct at the critical moment will be to clench, because the sensation arriving is indistinguishable from needing to urinate.
So the instruction has to come from you, out loud, in one word, at the threshold. Push. Not hold, not relax, not let go, all of which are ambiguous. Push.
She will not arrive at that on her own, because her nervous system is telling her the exact opposite, and it is telling her with some urgency.
Sixth: The Part of Your Letter I Actually Want to Answer
You wrote that she was thrilled and you were deflated. I want to sit on that for a moment, because it is the only genuine problem in the whole email.
You have made her physical output into your scoreboard. She will detect that, probably faster than you would like, and once she detects it the whole thing becomes a performance she has to deliver rather than something happening to her. Nothing shuts this down more efficiently.
And a matter of fact, since you asked whether she is one of the women who can. Volume varies enormously between women and between nights for the same woman, and a proportion of women will never produce more than a small amount regardless of technique, hydration or patience. That is a plumbing variation, not a failure of yours or a limitation of hers.
She was thrilled. That was the correct reading of the evening. Yours was the wrong one.
