A few years ago a man positioned my body in a configuration I had not encountered before in either practice or reading.
I was lying on my left side on the bed. My legs were extended straight. He, instead of positioning himself between my legs or behind me — the two default approaches — knelt facing me at a right angle to my body. His knees were beside my hip. His body was perpendicular to mine.
He lifted my top leg, gently, and draped it over his hip.
From that configuration, he entered me.
The geometry was unlike anything I had experienced. His body and mine were forming a T on the bed. My bottom leg extended, my top leg over him, his body upright and facing mine, my body horizontal and facing him. We could see each other’s faces without craning. His hands were both free. My hands were both free. The angle of penetration was direct into my g-spot without either of us adjusting.
It was, mechanically, a position that had every advantage of every other position without the disadvantages of any single one.
And I had never, in the years of sex advice I had been consuming, seen it described.
I’m calling it the T.
Inside G-Spot Orgasms Made Easy, Karla Kush and Celeste Star demonstrate the T in full.
Why The T Solves So Many Problems At Once
Almost every sex position has a specific limitation.
Missionary limits eye contact and puts strain on his neck and back if sustained. Doggy sacrifices eye contact entirely and pins her hips. Cowgirl requires her to do all the work. Reverse cowgirl loses face-to-face contact. Spoons is intimate but limits deep penetration. Side-lying face-to-face is comfortable but the angle of penetration is often shallow.
The T solves all of these at once.
Eye contact — yes, face-to-face, without craning.
Neck strain — no, both partners are in comfortable postures.
Depth and angle — yes, the perpendicular geometry allows deep penetration at the natural g-spot angle.
Hands free — yes, both of hers and both of his are free for touching, clit stimulation, breast play, hair, or anything else.
Hip mobility — yes, her hips are not pinned; she can rock forward and back independently of his rhythm.
Sustainable — yes, the position can be held for extended periods without fatigue on either side.
It is, in my strong opinion, one of the most under-taught positions in the entire mainstream position catalogue.
How To Get Into The T
1. She lies on her side. Left side is standard but either works.
Her body is horizontal on the bed. Legs extended.
2. He kneels beside her, facing her, at a right angle to her body.
His knees are near her hip. His body is upright, perpendicular to hers.
3. He lifts her top leg gently and drapes it over his hip.
Not over his shoulder — over his hip. The lifted leg opens the geometry so he can approach.
4. He enters her.
The angle is direct into her front wall. Deep, but not fatiguing.
5. His hands go wherever the moment calls for them.
Her breast, her clit, her hair, her cheek. This is the specific advantage of the T — both hands are completely free and both have access to her upper body.
6. His rhythm is set by his own body.
Her hips can rock in response, but the base rhythm comes from him.
7. Eye contact throughout.
The face-to-face geometry is one of the T’s biggest advantages. Use it. Sustained gaze during sex is one of the most under-used forms of intimacy in the standard position rotation.
8. Transitions.
The T is easy to transition out of — she can roll onto her back for missionary, or roll onto her stomach for a modified side-behind. Use it as a bridge position as well as a destination.
Every step is demonstrated inside G-Spot Orgasms Made Easy.
The Small Detail That Makes The T Work
There is one thing about the T that many couples miss on their first attempt.
Her bottom leg — the one still extended flat on the bed — needs to stay extended. Not bent. Not tucked under. Extended straight.
The extended bottom leg opens the pelvis at the specific angle that makes the deep g-spot penetration work. When women bend the bottom leg or tuck it under themselves, the angle changes and the position loses most of its mechanical advantage.
Bottom leg straight. Top leg over his hip. Body perpendicular.
That is the geometry. Once it is correct, the position holds up for as long as either of you wants it to.
Why This Becomes A Regular Position
The T is not a novelty position. It is not a special-occasion setup.
It is a fundamentally comfortable, deeply-penetrating, eye-contact-preserving, hands-free position that most couples add to their regular rotation the first week they discover it — and stay in their rotation permanently.
One geometry. One right-angle. One draped leg.
That is the whole position.
